Slow-braised beef in coconut milk with toasted coconut and a delicious blend of aromatic Asian spices. Rich, deep and worth every hour it takes.

Pepesan (Fish)
Mackerel with a bold mix of Asian spices and steamed wrapped in banana leaf. Smoky, fragrant, a little bit addictive.

Ayam Kuning (Chicken)
Pulled chicken simmered in coconut cream and warm spices. Golden, aromatic, the one that surprises people most.

Beef, fish or chicken, each slow-cooked with its own bumbu, a fresh spice paste ground by hand. Wrapped in a panko crust inspired by Japanese kare pan.

About us

Menikmati started in a kitchen in Amsterdam. Inspired by travelling through Asia, the street stalls, the taste, the small, the food you eat standing up and never forget and just stays with you.
We set out to bring that feeling home.

Everything is handmade. The filling? Grandma's recipes, perfected by mother, tailored to now. Our bumbu’s are ground by hand, the way it's always been done. The crust? Japanese-inspired: golden and crispy with panko breadcrumbs.

The flavours you know. The combination? That's new.

No jars. No shortcuts. Just the kind of food that takes longer to make than it takes to eat.
